A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a blue four-pointed star centered in front of a silver disc with blue rays, the star points with silver center lines extending beyond the rim of the disc all surmounted by a yellow chevron issuing from base with upper edge composed of seven steps on each side, enclosed in base by a scarlet scroll bearing the inscription "READY THRU TRAINING" in silver letters.
The blue four-pointed star and rays symbolize the Command's training mission within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The yellow seven-stepped chevron, along with the colors blue and scarlet, alludes to the shoulder sleeve insignia of Seventh Army, under which the Command operates. The colors, yellow, blue, red and white refer to the Armor, Mechanized Infantry, Artillery and Engineer units which are served by the Command.
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the Seventh Army Training Command on 8 November 1977. It was redesignated effective 3 January 2006, for the Seventh Army Joint Multinational Training Command. The insignia was redesignated effective 1 October 2016, for the 7th Army Training Command.
